Description

PLATE, yellow to honey and d.green wide rim glazed clay with d.brown Sun pattern in the middle, diam. 12 ½’’, Latgalian tradition, made by Juris Krompāns . The round shape of plate itself represents Sun and its circular movement over the Earth, but the Sun symbol in the middle makes it for us to be seen. The outer circle of smaller parts of the Sun tree, meaning also the ones spiritual growth, represents the movement of the Sun as well as the Life circle itself.
